Help Trout Conservancy help Montana trout!.

Spend your spring, summer, fall or winter for 12 weeks in western Montana, helping Montana Trout with wild trout conservation work and gaining valuable experience in Natural Resource conservation!

Description: Assist Montana Trout’s Executive Director and Board of Directors in advancing Montana Trout’s wild trout conservation work. Work might include (depending on your qualifications) helping develop and coordinate restoration and education projects, assisting with fundraising and grant writing, or outreach activities. Work may be a mix of office/administrative activities and field visits.

Qualifications: Degree program in Fisheries, Biology, Environmental Studies or other Natural Resource-related area of study. Excellent writing/research/communication skills. Must love wild trout, enjoy northern Rockies grandeur, wild lands settings and working with diverse and often unique personalities. Interest in trout fishing and conservation helpful.

Location: Missoula, Montana and various sites around the state. (You are responsible for your transportation to/from Missoula, and for your lodging/personal expenses while here.)

Compensation: $500 per 4 weeks for a 12 week period (mid-June through August, approximately). Also, ability to enjoy and recreate in Montana's wild lands and experience life in the northern Rockies summer doing important conservation work.
