Spend a few hours a week during spring, summer, fall or winter for 8-12 weeks in western Montana, helping the Trout Conservancy with wild trout conservation work and gaining valuable experience in Natural Resource conservation!

Description: Assist the Trout Conservancy ’s Executive Director and Board of Directors in advancing wild trout conservation work. Work might include helping develop and coordinate restoration and education projects, assisting with fundraising and grant writing, or outreach activities. Work may primarily be office/administrative activities.

Qualifications: Degree program in Fisheries, Biology, Environmental Studies or other Natural Resource-related area of study preferred. Excellent writing/research/communication skills. Must love wild trout, enjoy northern Rockies grandeur, wild lands settings and working with diverse and often unique personalities. Interest in trout fishing and conservation helpful.

Location: Based in Missoula, Montana.

Compensation: Stipend is NOT guaranteed - if provided, not more than up to $500 per 4 weeks for an 8 to 12 week period. You are responsible for your transportation to/from Missoula, and for your lodging/personal expenses while here. However, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy and recreate in Montana's wild lands and experience life in the northern Rockies while working for wild trout.
